Prayer

‘Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always’ 1 Chronicles 16:11

We pray because when we seek God and his presence; things change and we change. We are called to be a people of prayer – a house of prayer. We have this beautiful gift of being able to bring all our worries, concerns, joys and sorrows to God. We, as his people, can call upon God and invite him to the different situations we and others face around the world.

24-7 prayer have lots of resources to help us pray, so do check out their web guide ‘Help me Pray’.

Virtual Prayer Room

During this time of uncertainty, we are coming ‘together’ as a church to pray whilst apart. We have a virtual prayer room on Facebook with prayer threads to help inspire us in creative ways to pray, there is a space for people to share scriptures, words and pictures, and to encourage one another. The link to the Facebook Virtual Prayer Room is sent out to you when you sign up to a prayer slot.

Don’t have Facebook? Don’t worry. Please do still sign up to one of our prayer slots and pray, and we will email you prayer resources as they come out!

The 6 – A Call to Prayer

Each Sunday evening, at the 6, we are joining together on the Live Stream to pray corporately. Do join us on a Sunday at 6pm, and feed in prayers, scriptures and pictures through the live chat.

11.02 and 3.16

Join us in setting your alarm for 11.02am and 3.16pm as reminders to prayer. We pray for God’s kingdom to come at 11.02 because Luke 11:2 says:

‘He said to them, ‘When you pray, say: ‘“Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.’

Why not choose 3 people that you would like to come to know Christ and pray for them at 11.02 each day.

We pray for God’s love to be known across Crawley at 3.16pm, because John 3:16 says:

‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’

Morning and Evening Prayer

We follow the Church of England’s traditional daily offices and pray together via Zoom at 9am and 5pm Monday - Friday.
